Thinking about terms of endearment and the way to address one’s partner and still in Kigo/Jampo brainrot so like
Hugo would call Kipo his sister exclusively. His baby sister at times. Dose he love her more than a brother loves his sister? Yes. Absolutely. Does he show this love and affection? In his own... mangled little ways, sure. That affects nothing, however. He may occasionally refer to her as a Princess, not his Princess, but a princess none the less.
It’s only after his coronation in which his plan succeeds does he call her anything even slightly hinting at romantic; His Queen. He is the King, she is the Queen, and there is nothing else to be said. King and Queen of Mutes, ruling the surface together.
And on the other end the second Jamack and Kipo are officially dating he requested her permission to jump straight to calling her his wife. Kipo was like “Sure but why?” because she’s chill, and Jamack explains very excitedly that it just sounds more powerful to say. It feels good in his throat. It’s strong, a declaration of devotion.
There’s the bragging aspect; Watching a mega jaguar level an unstable building and nudging the person next to you to say “That’s my wife” is so incredibly amazing. The hype aspect; Watching Kipo do some amazing trick, kick someone’s ass, or even just give a lecture on the stars, is all amplified with the ability to cheer and clap “THAT’S MY WIFE!!!!!” afterwards.
But his favorite part, even though it’s rare to ever happen, is the minuscule chance someday he’ll be able to stand up, flat palm slap somebody, and proclaim “That’s my WIFE.” to the entire room. Kipo doesn’t need someone to stand up for her like that, and she’s basically universally liked so a debacle is unlikely to happen, but if it DID. Highlight of the YEAR.
