ive had thoughts about changing my bdubs design to be completely human again but ive also put too much stock in personal headcanons that connect to his current design to go back . so we’re here forever now. with those big dumb floppy ears. keep on goin donkey boy

an important part of reading any etho n bdub art i make is #to #me... etho is the sun and bdub is the moon …. rather than the other way round . thats my vibe for them. thats my truth

additionally! any skizz thoughts? he is my blorbo :) not asking you to draw anything in case i wasn’t clear, cuz all of your pieces look like they take months to make-

ehe thank you sm !!! i’ll say, all my notes n ‘lore’ that i add to my designs are incredibly self indulgent, so it always makes me rly happy when people say they enjoy them!!

i’ll admit ive not rly engaged w skizz content, only gotten my impressions of him through other ppls povs, however !! luckily for you i do actually still have some disjointed thoughts to share ab a character design for him :]] though i cant promise anything good skjgnusngjkdsn

so. ok .stay with me here. i kinda see him as a warden? its a bit random but after stewing on it for a bit ive only grown more attached to the idea so i'll just try n walk thru my thought process as best i can with no visuals lmao-

both hc seasons hes been on now hes had projects to do w psychology and the mind, confronting something you might not want to confront n whatnot. especially this season, which iirc theres a focus on the shadow self, it felt fitting to the deep dark and the warden. obv the wordplay of the shadow and the warden literally plunging you into shadow is there, but also the warden is scary !! freaky !! it makes players conscious of how they move and act and changes the way they interact with a space out of fear of facing it. its like a physical manifestation of avoiding ur problems lol. him also coming onto hc the season after the warden makes its debut feels like the deep dark awoken in the previous season w decked out 2 n ooo hes made his way up the canals of the mountain ooooooo now hes here oooooo

looking at physicality, im pretty sure ive heard it be mentioned that skizz is fairly tall, and his mc character is obviously meant to be quite built/bulky. obviously wardens are very large too so there ya go easy comparison there- i think id also play around w his scars on his skin being skulk/perceptible bones like the warden but its hard to say how exactly without actually just doing it LOL

i also think itd be fun to play into the wardens screeching mechanic as a sorta reasoning why skizz is. fairly loud aoeijgnoiajgilajdns. hes using echolocation baby! hes gotta yell! if i were to put my designs for the ZITS crew on a scale from very human to full mob/monster, i think i'd put him as being the most monster out of the 4. not Full warden, but definitely not fully human. which in practice means his vision is nonexistent, so he uses those other enhanced senses to get around like his hearing and sense of touch. the upper half of his face is covered with a mask with crudely drawn eyes to make up for his . lack of them (his skin being rly close to the default steve skin made me think of him kinda just drawing very very Default cartoon eyes and being like :) yay :) eyes :)), orrr maybe itd be like a kinda ornate historic mask from the deep dark ruins, proof of old civilization thats no longer here, par from him- thats another concept id have to play w thru drawing to figure out though

any regular human clothes he does have are ripped at a lot of the seams (like his skins suit jacket and shirt) because of his large stature, and certain limbs are proportioned just different enough from a plain human that theyre not a perfect fit, causing them to either stretch and rip or get caught on things/in the way and end up tearing

ive seen a lotta depicitons of his character being like. an angel/cherub? and if im honest i have no idea where that came from- so if im missing important skizz lore in this interpretation that contradicts literally everything here then i sincerely apologise LOL like i said im goin off of limited knowledge. but the lil antlers wardens have kinda match the head wings people give him so yaay ^-^ lmaoo

but yeah !! just some first time thoughts fresh for you... i did draw him exactly once at the beginning of hc11 ^^ this was rly before i had any thoughts ab design or anything, tho i did already have the warden idea!! u can kindaa see it w the antlers. if i were to ever draw smth i would make him a lot more monster than here i think, tho i may just be saying that to avoid even the hypothetical prospect of having to draw a proper suit jacket and tie lmaoooo
