Freelance consultant, Brennan Dunn, sat down with our CEO Jonathan Tarud and Jan Jones, CEO of Oozou, a fellow web development agency to talk about about what it’s like being a global company.
In this podcast, “Working from the Middle of Nowhere,” a lot of sales and marketing development advice was exchanged and perspectives gathered about what it’s like being further away from your prospective clients and how to catch their eye.
What are some of the most helpful tips when working globally
Jonathan and Jan share their techniques and tactics.
The networking strategy is simple. When you take the time to meet with people and help them in any way you can, they are more than likely willing to return the favor. By building a relationship with them and keeping in touch by grabbing a cup of coffee and flying out to trips to Silicon Valley, New York City, and wherever you can is well worth it. Lots of people quit after the first little problem. If you help them get their feet off the ground it adds a lot of value. -Jonathan Tarud
"One new trick our agency has been doing is called “Start-up Cakes.” If we see some sensible funding for startups we send them a cake," says Jan Jones. Sending them a creative gift is one way to start a relationship that wasn’t initially there.

We're just about to jump on a plane and fly to Dubai for 3 days, where Brookie, Grant and an amazing water park await our arrival.
The trip of a life time is nearly over… but we're drawing it out for as long as we can :-)
