Since it's Brian Eno's 64th birthday today, here's one of the, um, more obscure releases on his short-lived Obscure label, via the Snaps, Crackles & Pops blog. The musicians include Robert Wyatt, Carla Bley and Fred Frith. Never released on CD, as far as I know!
🎸I know she loves you And I can’t interfere So I’ll just have to sit back And watch my world disappear 🎸

Whoa!! Super rare footage of Monkee girl/celeb girlfriend Jan Freeman performing on the country music program 'Pop Goes the Country' in 1976 was uploaded to YT! :O Honestly shocked right now, lol. I didn't think anything from this period of her life/career existed on film/tape. She looks super cute. 😊 You can see her parts of the episode at 11:05 and 21:25.
The weird thing is the host refers to her as a 'genuine' Oklahoma girl, even though she's from SoCal, and her record was made in LA too. I wonder if the stigma against California country-rockers [like Mike] was still a thing that far into the decade? That or there's another Jan Freeman around the same age who looks and sounds just like her, which I find hard to believe, lol.
JK, this is apparently a completely different person who looks like, sounds like and is also named 'Jan Freeman,' lol. Crazy.
