Movie Review: Angel Falls Christmas
This is not a Hallmark movie, but a GAC (Great American Country) - so right off the bat... I'm not thrilled. There's just something about the name that doesn't sit well with me. The Network was created by an ex-lead guy at Hallmark. Many of the actor from Hallmark are going to GAC.
The movie itself was average. I loved that the plot was something more than two people meeting and falling in love at Christmas time. This was an established couple that broke up due to having different desires, working too much, in a job they don't feel passionate about. It's a learning to enjoy life (stop and small the roses) kind of story.
There was a side plot about an angel being more than more than just helpful, but intrusive. He wanted love for himself and lost sight of his mission on Earth. There was an additional angel trying to reign him him.
in the end the couple learned their lesson (she started to make time for the fun things in life and he quit his job and started doing something he really loved). It was alright as a movie. I will admit that I'm not sure what Chad Michael Murray was aiming for as his acting choices were... odd. His character came across at little demented; as an angel he was enamored with humans - but the issue is he was an angel for decades, why was he so captivated? (To the point of turning against his mission. Just odd.)
