random job application tip (bc i too am suffering through the horrors of trying to find a job after graduation and have learned something)
create a master resume/cv. list everything you’ve ever done, with appropriate headers. (example: mine has “relevant art teaching experience” and then all my positions (volunteer and paid) relating to teaching art, “relevant customer service experience” with all my customer service related positions under it, etc.) doesn’t matter how “irrelevant” you may think it is, keep it around just in case. don’t worry too much about spacing or how long it is (mine is five pages and will likely grow). no one will see it in this form (except for you and the people you ask to read over it. ask people to read over it)
when you’re applying for jobs and creating a different resume for each job to highlight whichever experiences are most applicable to each different application, you can just copy/paste off your master. it’s been saving me so much time in resume making since i made it. it took me about two hours one night and now i can build a resume in two minutes.
