accidental affection – still accepting△: For my muse to get trapped in a small closet with yours
Why the hell am I here again? Erin thought for what felt like the millionth time. I’m 28. What 28 year old still plays bottle games with friends? She’d known it’d been a bad idea to accept the party invite. She was almost always the eldest one around in her group of friends and her interests were just different now. At least she’d gotten to drink some of that beer before it’s bottle had been whisked away for this silly game. “Since you’re the oldest, why don’t you go first?” God she really hated these. She looked up to see 8 pairs of expectant eyes on her. “Of.. course, I’d love to!” She smiled her widest and spun the glass. Maybe a little too hard, but she was desperate to make sure she wasn’t about to send herself off to the closet.
Her heart stopped. Of course she managed to do so. She really didn’t want to participate in this anymore than she had too. But she also didn’t want to disappoint her friends. She rolled her eyes at the oo’s and aah’s she received and pushed herself up off the ground. Let’s get this over with then… She didn’t waste any time walking over to the nearby closet. “It’s a good thing you’re going in single, who knows what’ll happen when you come out Erin!” She whipped around at the comment, her eyes searching for the pair that had called it out and promptly glared at them. She was pretty sure they figured out they were getting mentally flipped off.
Things were quiet in the closet. She was enjoying herself more than she should’ve no doubt. But it was almost peaceful. She didn’t know this person’s home, but they kept clean. Things smelled nice. It wasn’t so bad in here. She wiggled down against the wall and onto the floor, keeping her eyes closed. Not that it made a difference, it was pitch black in there. She didn’t even open them when she heard more laughing and screaming on the other side. Clearly, the second contender had been chosen and by the sound of it, everyone was excited over who it was.
The door opened and closed swiftly and a lock was clicked into place. She peeked over in hopes to see who she was stuck with, but to no luck. This wasn’t fair. They knew who she was, but she didn’t know who they were. They better not try anything funny…. She heard nervous breathing, the person shuffling closer to her. “Be careful.” She spoke out, “I’m right against the wall here, sitti- oh-“ They had sat right next to her.
She sighed quietly and stretched her hands out. This person was boring. She couldn’t tell who it was because they wouldn’t speak and despite how close they were she couldn’t make any details. Short hair… no curves… clearly a guy. They sat like that for a couple of moments before he started moving beside her. The next thing she knew, a hand was over her own. He gave it a squeeze and she could have sworn his breathing hitched. Wait a second… “Hyeon!” She whined and smacked his hand away playfully. He may not have spoken, but it was already obvious. “I should have known it was you!” she laughed. “Noona, please….” he whined. She rolled her eyes, practically hearing the frown in his voice. “Fine but only because we’re never going to speak of this.” She leaned over, resting her head on his shoulder and squeezed his hand back. “Ever.”
