How frustrating is it to be a janitor? do you get frustrated when people make messes?
Oh yes, it can get VERY frustrating sometimes lol here's a short list of the things that frustrate me the most:
People not flushing the toilet. It's so easy to make sure the toilet has flushed as much as it can before you leave the stall, but apparently that is a difficult concept for some people.
Urinals in general and especially the mess people make when they miss (which happens SO MUCH)
People throwing trash into a trash can that has no liner in it. That means I gotta pick out all the pieces of trash myself to put in my rolling can.
People missing the trash can, and just letting their trash sit on the floor. I gotta bend down with my bad back to pick that shit up, I ain't your mom.
People trying to interact with me and joke around when I have my headphones on and am clearly working.
People putting recyclables in the trash can. Use your head and put recyclables in a recycling bin if there's one available. Otherwise, I gotta dig through your trash to separate out the cans and bottles and cardboard and etc.
People not informing me about events and meetings that will create more mess and trash than usual (especially catering) and then complaining to my manager when the trash cans start overflowing. Always communicate with your janitor, holy shit.
People putting their shit in my janitorial closets. That space is mine; don't put your shit there.
People not labeling trash items outside of bins as trash and being shocked when I don't take it.
Maintenance, construction, and renovation people just leaving their mess for me to clean up. Part of their job is clean up; again, I ain't their mom.
