(prev) While the three were sitting there without saying a word to eachother for a good while, a lone watchdog from afar had spotted their table after a nice meal and, upon further observation when they noticed something was off with one of the watchdogs 'sitting' there, soon came to the horrific realization that they were no ordinary watchdog; They were.. a ghost!!! Thinking they were up to no good, the watchdog then shouted out "G-g-g-g-GHOOOOOST!!!!!!!!!!!" with all their might as they pointed directly at the ghost. And immediately, all hell broke loose. With a good majority of people, including that very watchdog, yelling and running in different directions to get as far away from the food court as possible. Upon hearing the sudden commotion, Norman and Larry jolted up and watched as the entire food court erupted into complete and utter chaos. "Eeyikes.. I think someone might've noticed your presence, Thomas." Norman cringed before turning his head towards him with concern. ".. You think?!" Larry raised his voice slightly so he could be heard as he tried desperately to drown out the screaming with his headphones.
Thomas flinched when he heard someone yell out the miserable thing he had become. Watching the ensuing panic made his heart sink.
“Aaaw shoot. This is exactly what I was afraid of happening..,” he bemoaned as he turned invisible. “I-I’m so sorry, you two. I gotta go. Norman, it was great meeting you.
Thomas left the food court, watching his fellow mob mentality-prone watchdogs cause a ruckus as he flew over them. He felt bad leaving Larry and Norman so abruptly, and hoped he’d be able to see them again sometime. But for now, he wanted to see if he could find Cyrus.
Really, the only place that was worth searching was his stairwell. And so Thomas returned to it, rather exhausted.
