Mr. Effort

I was once labeled as Mr. Effort by a few people cause I’m a sucker for doing something with an extra mile. I think it might have started way back when I was in high school. Those were the days when I had to literally just drink water by the fountain as a stomach filler for the whole day since I was trying to save my daily allowance to buy video games instead. Then I had my first love. Everything quickly shifted from games to a love drug addiction. I was still doing the same habit of not eating anything at all but instead of buying things for myself, I prioritized my allowances on trip and food expenses for my ex back then. Like every other dismissal, I had to rush to the train station and get some random food that I pass by then get to her place as fast as possible. The remaining money then is spent for a quick taxi ride back home before my curfew hits since commute transfers from that place will take me atleast 2 hours. Fast forward, I still have that habit of doing an extra mile on certain things. I do hate it at times cause I tend to tunnel vision on what I just want rather than being practical. On the other hand, I do enjoy exerting effort for that one glimpse of smile. Idk maybe I’m just plain stupid at times or just simply care that much for people that I cherish.
