was thinking about the ship name for jesus and adam. i suppose jadam works somewhat. theres lots of fun ideas like [anti]christ, christ^2, etc. i guess we could do ineffable something. ineffable christs? i think ineffable humans and ineffable boyfriends are taken already. applesauce? (cause like. adam and the apple. and (je)sus. oh god im so terrible at naming)
i am quite fond of jantichrist, because it's fun to say and very catchy. plus its got all the stuff in it like the j, the antichrist, and christ
im almost tempted to make applesauce a thing now though, who's with me
In my heart the longer version of s3 would've seen Jesus/Josh escape Heaven in search of the Antichrist who disavowed his destiny; so that he can learn how to do the same.
Crowley finds out Jesus is missing from Aziraphale and has the wonderful idea of knocking on Adam's door because heyyyy, old buddy, you're The Adversary, Prince of This World and Lord of Darkness, if I can use anyone as a Jesus-sniffing dog it's his Biblical nemesis meant to bring about the End Times!
But Adam is just like "no I haven't sensed anything, everything feels So Normal, and completely unrelated this is my boyfriend Josh." And because I think it was hilarious in canon that Crowley didn't recognise him. He still doesn't in this version. Just "fair enough have a good normal day bye"
Sighs. We could have had such a good story line if Jesus had gone to earth to search for Adam. Heaven and its overbearing Plans leading to him seeking out the only other person who's been in his position, albeit from the Other Side. Not only been in his position but been in his position and broke free of it. Two sides of the same coin and all that.
Josh and Adam knew they'd meet someday - even though they didn't know what they were waiting for. New universe, sure, but they were made to cross paths. Their meeting was supposed to be The End Of The World. It's what they were made for billions of years ago. On whatever day it was they met before they grabbed a pint in that pub together, they both felt that whatever it was they'd been waiting for was going to happen.
