Januanders 2018 Fandom Event Announcement Post

A whole month dedicated to Anders appreciation because a week just isn’t enough!

It’s time to create and share art, fanfiction, meta, or just spreading other Anders-positive content. We’ll be using the tags #Januanders and #Januanders2k18 throughout the month to promote our Anders-positive content. I’ll be checking the tags throughout the month and reblogging content to help share the love! Remember, this is an event about appreciating Anders, so try to keep to a positive theme with this month.

You can produce any sort of positive Anders content you wish, but for those who do better with a bit of structure and guidance, here are some weekly themes you can play with in the content you create.

Week 1 (Jan1st-6th): What Anders Means to Me

Anders did a lot of good and it often goes unappreciated in canon. Here’s your chance to explore all the good he did and how it might have touched the lives of those around him.

Week 2 (Jan 7th-13th): OTPs

Do you like Kanders? FHanders? Nanders? Any other pairing that doesn’t get enough attention? Now is your chance to create content for that! All pairings are welcome for this prompt, so have fun with it!

Week 3 (Jan 14th-20th): brOTPs

There are a lot of characters that Anders would absolutely be friends with. Share your favorite brOTPs involving Anders during this week.

Week 4(Jan 21st-27th): Anders and Justice

Justice deserves some appreciation too! Feel free to explore his bond with Anders and all the good he and Anders do together.

Week 5(Jan 28th-31st): Anders and Cats

Everyone knows Anders is a cat enthusiast. Why not dedicate a whole prompt to his love of feline friends?

A future for Anders

I published another chapter for my story, To Find Absolution. I’m happy about this one because it’s Anders in Skyhold, doing what he does best: healing. A good chapter for during Januanders!

I’m glad to be editing this during Januanders because there’s some important aspects of Anders that I wanted to have in this story. For one, Hawke and Anders are a stable, happy couple. Justice and Anders, while not in a perfect place, have learned to work together and it’s evolved into a mutually beneficial relationship. Away from Kirkwall and the thinned Veil there, Anders, Justice, and Hawke have found a home with Audra Amell and Alistair. A place for Anders to heal.

In this story, he finds some old wounds of his own healing, but more importantly, he’s instrumental in ensuring the healing of others, in more ways than the physical.

It’s been an amazing story to write, because I’ve always wanted to explore how life could be for Anders and Justice if away from Kirkwall, not to mention what happens if they were to come to Skyhold. It’s going to be a very happy ending for them, and a lot of people are going to learn to forgive by the end of the story.
