But also like, imagine your intellect is what's made you stand out your whole life. It pulled you out of a humble farm life into what would have been a dream if not for the Trent of it all. It's the main thing you rely on. You learn spells to protect it and would be able to do none of the things that make you powerful without it. Intellect is survival. The ability to think may work against you in some ways, but it's always kept you alive.

And sometimes you just... Turn it off. Quite literally hand the reins over to someone, a specific someone. Your magic is how you love and there is a magic that renders that you capable of giving and receiving affection in a more direct way by simply shutting off the very thing you rely on most. You are vulnerable. No planning, no strategy. Just your life, as ever, in the capable hands of the woman who took one look at all your guilt and shame and said "No. Absolutely not. Put it down." And so, somehow, you found a way.

You've been handing her the reins for years, honestly. It's so natural. This is just more of that of that trust.
