Some of the homes I got to see in Vilanculos had stunning architecture by a Portuguese woman whose work I have become a fan of. Not sure where she got the door, but I was stunned. Traveling through Mozambique in South Eastern Africa so far has been a real joy. I’m often asked why I go to the continent so much - to which I answer, “why not?”. Why wouldn’t I go where I am celebrated, treated with kindness, pulled into community without question, taught with gentleness, lifted up and admonished with good intentions. Tbh, it isn’t a perfect picture, and there are often major setbacks with no innocent parties. It has been really cool traveling with my sister and serving as her photographer for this trip, can’t wait to see what lies ahead. Her fabulous and cool pics aside, the HARD WORK it takes to do what she does is astounding, but I’m not shocked because her work ethic is SICK. Juggling 3 clients, two of whom are international behemoths would be a lot of pressure on anyone while trying to maintain the marketing business that got her here in the first place, but #BEAUTY is a #BEAST.
