Saram in 4x03

I’m going to state an opinion that might seem strange, but hear me out: Saram has never looked more promising than it has at this moment. I know that probably sounds odd, given the fact Aram has a girlfriend and Samar has officially put in for a transfer, but hear me out.

The main obstacle for Saram has been up until this point Samar apparent lack of interest. So think for a moment what it means that before Samar hits the send button on the transfer request, she calls Aram. His is the opinion she trusts. He is her main reason for wanting to stay. Even better is her reaction to realizing he has a girl in his apartment. Instead of being surprised, but bemused, she is awkward and quickly hangs up. Furthermore she immediately hits the send button. I would posit that if Samar’s feelings for Aram are platonic, she would have been happy for him and asked to do coffee at a different time. Aram wasn’t blowing her off for the new woman, he would have made time for her to talk as her friend. Samar had no reason to feel slighted, and yet she immediately hangs up and puts the request through. It seems however that phone call eliminated the reason she was hesitating to hit send. The only thing she ‘lost’ in that conversation, was her window of opportunity to pursue more than friendship with Aram. 

I know Tom is a bit preoccupied with finding Agnes, but I do hope he catches Samar shooting Aram preoccupied looks, and he just throws up his hands in disgust. “Woman, you’re a damn former Mossad agent. You know he worships the ground you walk on. Do something about it!”
