With a nice warm cup of tea in your hands and the sun hugging you with its warmth, you breathe in the fresh air as the tree’s wave away to enjoy the morning. You just sit on the back porch quietly to appreciate the beautiful greenery before you. Flowers were blooming as bees made their way over to pollinate them, butterflies danced alongside each other, and the birds flew to the bird house filled with food. While you take a small sip from your cup, you couldn’t help spotting a particular bush that was on the corner of one of your fences. Curious, you left your cup on the wooden plank to take a closer look. Well what do you know? You have a bush full of lush berries that were ripe for the picking. You were quick on thinking about harvesting them to eat, make it into juice, jam, and a bunch of other possibilities. But first and foremost, you have to finish your tea before you get busy picking away at the bush. Your cup now empty, you step back inside to see your boyfriend yawn the remaining sleep out of him while he leans his weight on his arm perched on the counter.
“Good morning!” You said as you helped fix up his messy bed hair. “Morning, Pretty girl.” He mumbled as his arms wrapped around you. His head rests in the crook of your neck as he breathes in your scent. “I missed you.” He spoke as he leaned his weight on you. Shaking your head side to side, you hug him back. “It’s only been twenty minutes.” You said amusingly. He just sighs, “Felt longer than that.” You two just stayed there hugging till you decided to start moving to the living room to get a basket to collect the berries. Still sleepy and clingy, he is attached to your back as you walk slowly to the backyard.
When you stopped in front of the bush, you gently tapped on his forearms. “Hmm?” He moans as his head is stuck laying on your shoulder. “Babe, I just need to collect some berries and then we can go back to cuddle, okay?” You bargained as he lifted his head. “Fine.” He pouted, his arms letting you go as you crouched down to start hand picking every berry. As you focus on picking, Jared couldn’t help feeling hungry and so he is crouched down next to you. You didn’t say anything since you were grateful for his help. That is until you realized that the basket wasn’t getting any fuller than it was before. You just put more berries into the basket and caught him red handed as he pulled a few into his mouth. “Really, Jared?” You asked with a pointed look. “What? I couldn’t help it. I was hungry.” He explained as he took one more to eat. You let out a chuckle, “You can eat some but save some for later. I promise I’m almost done. Then I’ll make you breakfast.”
His smile stretched ear to ear hearing that idea, his hands started picking like a mad man. By then there was a mountain of berries in the basket. You lifted it, but the darn thing was too heavy. “Here, let me do it, My Lady.” He joked as he bowed before he brought the basket full of berries into the kitchen. He sets it on the counter as he watches you wash them then prep them to be used later. For now, you just want to feed your very hungry boyfriend dying to taste your cooking. “I can’t wait to see what you’ll whip up today!” He cheered energetically, sitting as patiently as he could on the table to watch you cook. It didn’t take long for a hot plate of food to be placed in front of him. He devoured the entire thing in seconds before he was given a bowl of berries you two amazingly harvested. “Come eat some!” He held one out for you to eat out of his fingers. “Mmm, they're extra sweet!”

Light jingling could be heard as you tiredly twist your keys out of the keyhole, then off they go to hang on their assigned hook. Afterwards, you lazily threw your shoes to the side unbothered and ready to hit the bed. This entire day has sucked the soul out of your body. Due to failing your last two exams, you had to stay back to meet with a tutor. Then you had to rush to your extracurricular activities to catch up with everyone else. Last but not least, your period decided that today was the right day to arrive. Fantastic, isn’t it?!
As you walk further into your house, you pass by the living room dazed and continue walking. When you finally registered what you saw, you had to take a few steps back. “What is this?” You mumbled to yourself.
Within the middle of the living room was a big structure made out of pillows, blankets, and stuffed animals gathered all around the house. There were even lights dangling off on its side to give that extra wow factor. All the furniture was moved to the side to make a made up garden of blankets and fake plastic flowers laying around. There could only be one person who did all of this? “Jared?!” You called out, expecting him to run down the stairs.
Instead, he rose from within the pillow fortress, arm nicely snug around a teddy bear you won for him at a carnival. “Welcome back, Babe!” He said through a yawn. “What is all of this for?” You asked curiously, you weren’t even mad, just impressed. “It’s a surprise! You know, it brings back old times when we would hang out at each other’s house?” He’s even bringing out those puppy eyes you can’t resist. “Wanna join me? It’s nice and snug here for one more person?”
“Fine! But you’re helping me clean this up tomorrow!” You said as you crouched down to enter the fortress. “Neat, am I right?” He smirked at you as you lay down onto your stomach. You didn’t know you miss this feeling so much. It was comforting, taking the stress away immediately. “Want a bowl of popcorn?” He offered. You raise your head to look at him with a gleeful grin, “Make that two!”
“Alright, wait here. I’ll be right back!” He excitedly leaves the fort, hoping to return as quickly as possible. When he did return, you had unintentionally fallen asleep. Although he had a lot of things planned for tonight, he wasn’t disappointed. He couldn’t blame you for working as hard as you did for your academic studies. Setting the popcorn down, he grabs a fluffy blanket to place it over you. “Goodnight.” He whispered as he kissed your temple.
The next morning…
“You ate all the popcorn without me! And you started the new episode?!” Now he was in deep trouble as he was running away from you. “Get back here, Cameron!” That’s not happening.
“I’m sorry, Babe! I am!” He said apologetically before coming to a frantic halt. Due to how fast you were running, you landed straight into his arms. You tried squirming out of his hold but he was far too strong. “Please forgive me.” He peppers your face and neck with kisses till you cave in. “Okay! Okay!” You couldn’t help chuckling at his antics, and he joined along. “I forgive you.” His lips land on yours, you lean in to deepen the kiss. “I love you.” You lay your head onto his shoulder. “I love you more!” He cheered as he lifted you up bridal style back to the pillow fortress.

You love Jared. You love him to death but sometimes you wish you had some peace to yourself. But that’s not really an option anymore ever since you entered his world. When you’re not at home, you’d be at Emily’s. Even when he isn’t around, the rest of the boys would make up for the lack of energy in the air. So you devised an amazing plan that will surely work so you can finally catch up on the newest book series recommended to you. You stopped by Emily’s as usual to help her around then when there isn’t anything else to do and with the boys gone, you immediately started taking action. You walked into the forest nearby, but not too far in case anything happens. When you spotted two very tall and sturdy trees, you found your spot. With your bag at hand, you took out your books and a handy hammock. This thing will work for sure. And as an extra precaution, you brought a safety harness. Besides all of that, you had to climb your way up. That was the easy bit, now the slightly harder bit was setting up your resting area. With the ties secure and harnessed down, you lay down on the hammock that now hangs thirty feet up in the air. You couldn’t really be seen from below unless someone walks slightly further in. “Alright, finally!” You exclaimed as you got comfy and read the first chapter.
A couple of minutes later, all the boys would come back rowdy and hungry as ever. They dug in to fill their hungry stomachs. “That was amazing!” Embry cheered as he leaned back on his chair. “Your cooking is out of this world!” Quil added on as he finished the remaining food on his plate. She thanks them for their compliments as Sam comes over to kiss her on the cheek. As everyone was busy doing their own thing, Jared couldn’t help notice someone missing. “Say, has anyone seen Y/N?” He spoke up. The boys shrugged their shoulders. “She was here a few minutes ago, then she stepped out. I don’t know where she went from there.” Emily said. Hearing that, he was slightly unnerved. He walks out and starts looking for you but there was no sign of you. While he was out there, Rachel arrived to greet everyone. “Guys I can’t find her!” He shouted as he reentered the house. Worried, Jared and the rest of the boys soon went out to scour the woods to find you.
Rachel was soon told about what was going on. “I’ll text her. Let's see if she will respond.” Emily nodded as she waited for you to respond. You were quick to text back. It’s amazing how you still had service up so high. “Come outside, walk a bit closer to the woods and you’ll see me.” Rachel read out loud as she stepped out with Emily not far behind. “Where?” she texted. In seconds, you sent them a picture of them. They looked up and they were shocked. They went straight to calling you. “How the hell did you manage to get up there?” Rachel shouted in amazement as you were put on speaker. You chuckle as you put the phone closer to you. “I did something like this before while I was camping. It’s not as hard as it seems.”
“Are you alright up there?” Emily asked worryingly as she looked up at you. “Don’t worry, I’m safe. I got a harness just in case.” Hearing those words, she let out a sigh of relief. While they were relieved to see you were alright, your poor boyfriend was panicking. The boys ran all around the woods and there wasn’t any sign of you. They returned and caught your scent nearby but they still haven’t spotted you. “Where the heck can she be?” Jared asked out loud, as he and the others shifted back.
“Don’t worry she’s doing fine.” Rachel told him. He turns his gaze to her, “And how would you know?” He spoke frustratedly till he saw her tilt her head. He follows her as did the other boys when she pulled her phone out to call you. “Hey, what’s up?” You said calmly. Jared was quick to snatch the phone out her hands, “Babe! Where are you! You made me worried sick!” He hears you chuckle before telling him to look up. “Up here, you see me right? I’m waving.” His jaw just drops. “Why the fuck would you be all the way up there! Come down now! It’s not safe.”
“Okay, okay, gimme a sec.” You said as he was close to getting another heart attack. He watches the hammock collapse with the contents inside it smack to the ground. Then you slide down the tree with the help of your harness. All the boys hovered below you in case you fell. You were rapidly speeding down before you jumped down. “Ta da! See I’m fine!” He just leans his weight on you as you feel his arms wrap around your waist, “Baby, you have to promise me you’ll never do something like that.” He mumbled as he tried calming his heart down. You patted his back as you light heartedly promised that this stunt will never be pulled again. “Yes, yes, I promise.”
