Drama much? Keep a secret
Today's Blogging U prompt What’s the most significant secret you’ve ever kept? Did the truth ever come out?
The point of a secret is trust - period.
The truth does not have to be bad news and "coming out" is usually unnecessary pomp and circumstance.
I use to feel ashamed that I did not own a car that somehow not owning a car made me "less" well aside from a very bad life insurance quote stating my life to be of less value for not owning a car I am officially over it.
I am over complete strangers shock and them feign awe in my face as I explained and promoted a car less life.
Other than that I am not interested in being a keeper of someone's story. Its theirs to tell and retell as many will at one time or another.
Trusting someone with an secret is a pact formed when humans as children tried to forge bonds with each other promoting friendship.
So yes, we all have secrets and sometimes we share them and other times we don't.
I think if someone asks if you can keep a secret simply reply "No, I already have too many of my own".
