Just cause I'm curious (and excited!!!!) for your other project, will your other fo ocs be alluded to or have an impact in this new setting? Or maybe their escapades are better left off in the world of the wasteland... even so KEEP AT IT! Cuz i love your ocs

ive been working on it lately (hence the lack of art, it's hard to divide my attention) so this question has popped into my head a lot.

with jaro nv, i realized his name doesn't really work in this new setting and i've been on the fence about changing it. rn, i explain that he's named after a hometown hero (so, his name jaro would be the equivalent of a kosovan child being named tonibler or klinton). of course, this would be a reference to my fo1 oc.

and speaking of jaro, i finally figured out a nice face for him but unfortunately, he reminds me too much of harry.....back to the drawing board with him. again!

i don't plan to adapt my other fallout ocs. the new setting's world is vast and strange, but the story is meant to feel small. the story takes place in a town in keweenaw county, the least populated county in michigan. in 1990, the population was just 1,701, so a large cast wouldn't make sense.

i'm very intentional about why everyone is up there. jaro is there on a government assignment, yara is a resident, and canyon picked the most remote spot he could to escape his old life in nevada (in his fallout origin story, he's fleeing a death sentence in golgatha after betraying the bishops).

the other fallout ocs will stay in the wonderful world of the wastelands for now. i had an idea for jaro 1, but it ended up feeling like yuppie psycho, so he's back on the drawing board too.

there are characters similar to existing fallout ones, like yara's father, butch, a crime family in nevada, but their roles are minuscule. i don't really like to call them expies, but they fulfill almost the same roles and dynamics. i try not to lean too much on the source material, but i'll be honest about my inspirations whenever i can haha.

oh, before i finish, i thought about giving jaro 2 a small role since i imagine he and yara would get along, but it wouldn't make sense, narratively. he is older than jaro nv. my story, i do what i want, blahblahblah. but i dont wanna.
