What does a typical date night between Frankie and Derrick look like?

at first, they mostly went out for their dates. frankie had only been in america for about four years at that point, but she never really had the time to explore chicago properly since she works a demanding job (60+ hour work weeks). so derek would take her around the city on the weekends.

after a while, they start doing lowkey dates and they just go to local restaurants or to each other apartments. derek tries to teach frankie how to play mtg and video games and frankie shows him trashy italian reality tv (derek sets up a vpn for her lol). derek and frankie also start learning how to cook around this time.

derek makes an effort to pick up some italian too, but he only memorizes a few basic phrases. frankie bullied him out of using duolingo because she wants him to learn it through immersion.
