COLLEGE YEARS | JACOB & ANDREA

So far, college was just about everything Andrea had expected. She could eat anything she wanted, within reason and within her budget, and she could leave when she wanted. The whole late night strolls became more frequent, and surprisingly even though she had much more freedom with her work, she was getting it done sooner. Maybe it was because she wasn't drained from a long day five days a week, or because she was simple more interested in the material, she didn't know, but she was happy about it. Books in hand Andy made it out of her room, books in hand, not really sure of where to go. But as she realized that she was tired of the library, and tired of her room, she decided just sitting and pretending to read would be enough for the time being. Ger little adventure didn't last long before she saw someone she more than recognized. They had a few classes together, and though they didn't really talk often, she liked the guy. After she was near him she bit her lip, before finally speaking. "Hey, no one's sitting there right?" questioned, looking at the empty space next to him. She had already figured out the answer, but it was more to gauge if she would be completely shut down more than anything.

June Hymn \\ Jacob & Ada

With another summer evening that she spent without sleeping, Ada had forgotten that she promised a friend of hers that she'd help out with her daycare job. Ada was never an expert with kids, but she didn't mind being around them and they definitely didn't mind being around her. Most people actually told Ada to just speak to their kids in order to lull them to sleep - her voice always seemed to be calming enough that kids fall asleep to the sound of her reading children's stories with sweet dreams to accompany their sleep. 

The morning was hectic, and dealing with small kids and being deprived of sleep was a difficult task for her. But, she still powered through the day without a hint of irritation or sleepiness in her tone as she spoke to the children, giving them snacks and playing games with them. As afternoon came around, so did nap time. Ada's friend gave her a random picture book and gave her a good luck smile before making her escape out of the room. Ada stared after as she left, in almost a state of disbelief that she just threw a book at her and walked out. She shook her head and smiled at the kids all laying around on the ground with their pillows and blankets, holding up the book to show to them. "Alright, guys. I guess it's story time." 

She began to read the words off the pages, occasionally lifting up the book so that the kids could see the pictures. When she read aloud, she never stuttered or lost her rhythm, and her slight English accent always played a part in making even the oddest of sentences and words sound elegant. As she read, she heard one of the kids ask if Uncle Jacob could read some of it, too. She glanced up, seeing a man in the doorway. She smiled up at him and said, "Well, only if he'd like to."

Like The Windex Commercials || Jacob & Tegan

Tegan honestly hated grocery shopping. She thought that she would've gotten over it by the time she started living on her own, but here she was, still hating it. She paid the cashier and grabbed her bags. It was actually quite a bit to carry, but she didn't feel like bothering with a shopping cart. She pulled out her phone to check the time, and the next thing she knew she ran face-first into a wall. All of her bags fell out of her hands and she looked up at the wall that she'd run into. Glass. Those Windex commercials really weren't a joke. She blew her hair out of her face and awkwardly glanced around to see if anyone saw her. She saw a guy outside watching her and laughing. She gave him a thumbs up to show that she was okay and bent down to pick up her stuff, feeling really stupid and embarrassed.
