Sightseeking or Siteseeking?
An artist and architect led tour of Margate and Cliftonville. Artist Julia Riddiough will share local knowledge about artists and artist practices, laced with history and the odd artful anecdote, alongside lashings of architectural asides from architect David Kitt. Beginning in Central Margate the walk will weave its way to Cliftonville, with a stop at Hantverk & Found where Jasleen Kaur will share and introduce her project; ‘Floor, Wall, Garage, Magazine Rack’ and specifically, a Langar experience. Langar is a Sikh practice where food is served free of charge to all visitors, without distinction of background. It focuses on equality, with everyone sharing the tasks of preparation, cooking, serving and cleaning.
