This MANIFEST searches for a same-gendered body, which aims for liberal equalization. The demonstrated non-binary gender identity positions itself outside of the commonly known dyadic of our society and locates itself somewhere between masculine and feminine. masculine and feminine can be seen as two artistic building blocks, which oscillate and complement each other by remaining in their own entities. An exemplary equalization of gender calls for an un-equalization of physiognomy and function of both gender specific codes. Both gender stereotypes are merely a relict and have to be decoded and have to undergo chaos, before getting together again as a whole complex on the wearers body. Androgyny means not only the anatomic form of union, but also sociocultural ambisexuality. Respectively: Genderlessness. In such case androgyny can either way stands for a neutral being or for one, which positions itself somewhere between masc and fem, while oscillating between both. The in-between can be directed towards an unoccupied space, something missing or a gap; while it can also address a border or a transition. It is about a term, which is compelled to difference. The in-between always asks for a somewhat to be put in a systematic relation with. A form-finding tool has been the ritual of enrobing/dressing, which in this case takes place in reversed way; the normative order is dissolved – decoded – and the underwear is declared as overwear.
