So, I was organizing my files and found something I started originally writing for a drabble meme, like, several Olympics ago, for the prompts "some mix of Alain Bernard, Jason Lezak, and Michael Phelps with a side order of badinage over media attention" and for "Phelps and Lezak gen related to team captain duties." For the sake of laziness, I combined them, wrote over thirty five goddamn pages instead of a drabble, got distracted, and only just now finished it out of spite, a whole new couple Olympics later when almost everyone involved has since retired and an international pandemic has knocked the Olympics off schedule. That's how I roll.

...my Olympic RPF phase was mostly conducted on livejournal, and I realize this probably has little appeal to anyone following me now on tumblr, but I have never let that stop me. I’m probably going to start dumping a bunch of the past hockey playoff drabbles I wrote on tumblr onto AO3 as well, though I’m wavering between putting them in one multi-chapter document or on their own. I suppose it’ll depend on their length and how finished I left them. Anyway.
