#1: In 140 characters or less, describe your movie and why someone should see it.
Monsters Anonymous takes a look at the classic monsters in a group therapy session as they try to cope with the fact that they aren't scary anymore.
#2: Biggest lesson learned in getting the film made? Best part in getting the film made?
You can do anything with the right people on your team. Nothing is impossible. Making a movie is like building a family, even if it's only for a few days. You go through so much together in a short amount of time, that you build friendships that will last a lifetime.
#3: Tell us about you. What is your movie making background?
Monsters Anonymous is the first film in which I wrote, produced and performed. I met Jeremy London, the director, and became friends with him. Eventually, I started taking acting classes from him. After coming up with the story for Monsters Anonymous we decided to do it as a class project. Jeremy was so impressed, he wanted to direct and help to clean up the script to get it ready for shooting.
#4 What do you want the Oxford Film Festival audience to know about your film that isn't obvious from its title or description?
This is a $15,000 dollar film that was made by hardworking professional filmmakers working for nothing except the love of the story and the love of making movies. Everyone from the grips, to the producers gave their blood, sweat, & tears to bring the film to life, and it shows in every frame. Everyone will be blown away by what they see on the screen, and will leave the theatre laughing and talking about the film for weeks afterwards.
#5: What does the future hold in store for your film and for you?
We hope that the film will gain an audience as it is shown around the country and eventually the world. This could be the jumpstart for careers that everyone involved deserves.
