"He may get the blood, but I get the glory" Back in 1993 in Jason goes to hell: the final Friday, horror fans went absolutely crazy as soon as they saw a recognisable finger knife glove grab Jason's Hockey mask with a diabolical laugh as the credits rolled. 10 years of hype and speculation the moment had finally come, in Freddy vs Jason. Unfortunately however the end result wasn't as much as we'd hoped for. I can say however the films plot in some aspects is done well, the idea of how and why these 2 horror legends come together in retrospect without giving spoilers, is really the only way possible to have a match up between them both, unfortunately with unasured direction and chessey dialogue and weak teenage characters and film doesn't hold together well enough to make its true mark, and with shifts in its tone throughout, the characters have become more of a near parody, even though these interpretations are the most serious depiction of Freddy and Jason that we've seen in previous films. Overall the film nowdays has become its own cult film, cheesy but entertaining, even though it won't make all fans happy, watching freddy and Jason coming to blow is still fun to watch even if the fights are quite short, however I'd rather just watch the fights on YouTube then view the whole film again.
