I don't know if you're in the mood to be salty about how people hold Steven to such high standards, but if you are then there's also SitR to talk about, and how so many people were criticising him because he wanted to spend time with his mom instead of standing up to her and pointing out all of her misdeeds like the mature adult that he is..... oh wait.

Yeah, if there’s anything that really grates my cheese, it’s when people criticize Steven unfairly. 

Some things I’ll chew him out for, such as the “they’re cute and smol, therefore they are innocent” mentality. Steven learned his lesson on that one with Navy, or at least I hope he’s starting to. 

Aside from that, people need to understand that Steven is not an adult. He wasn’t given an instruction manual on how to feel or act or speak as a Crystal Gem, or hell, even as a human being. He’s already under enough pressure as it is. And we’ve seen what happens to Gems who are pressured to be a certain way their entire lives and finally crack under the weight of all those expectations.

I have a feeling Storm in the Room might be Jasper’s return, or at least the very first glimpse of it.

Back in House Guest, Steven and Greg use duct tape to seal the crack in the Geode, to contain the storm raging within. And a while back, I saw this post.

Can “the tear of the mind” that causes corruption be sealed with duct tape?
