a simple stroll / Jasper + Saffron
Her father had been yelling into the phone to someone or other for the past hour. Saffron had eventually had enough, and decided she would go out for a walk. Without notifying Mr Katz (who would have shouted at her to leave, anyway), the teen slipped into a pair of oxfords and left with a handful of change in her pocket.
It was a quiet afternoon, and Saffron was enjoying the sights of the city she rarely ventured into. Well, without her father at her side. It was annoying to suddenly realize that. Saffron continued walking down the sidewalk, no destination in mind.
She eventually came to a more homey part of the district. There were smaller streets and far more colourful shops lining them. She felt almost at ease for once. It was then she heard music drifting from around the corner, and Saffron grew curious.
The musician had tattoos, and a smile on his face. Saffron simply watched, thumb nail in her mouth. Her other arm was folded across her chest nestled under her elbow. She focused on his fingers as he played the instrument, though his technique was bothering her in some way. She couldn't place why.
