they say the college years are when things truly start to change for a person. you find yourself, you find your people, you learn what you like, you learn what you dislike. it’s also highly likely that you’re going to get your heart broken. november kinda wishes someone mentioned that part of college. but what can she do ? her life doesn’t revolve around a boy, she simply won’t let it. so she goes out, she meets people, dances with everyone who wants to dance with her, drinks, and ends up in a house party hallway.
her nose crinkles as a drunk pair of partygoers leaves the bathroom, and november picks at the edge of the shirt she’d chosen to wear tonight. it’s autumn, one of her favorite seasons ( c’mon, there’s no way a girl named NOVEMBER isn’t obsessed with the sound of fall leaves crunching underneath her boots ), which means layers are always the way to go - especially when one is in a sweaty house party. “it stinks in here, right? wanna go for a walk? i’d kill for some fresh air.” also, she might throw up if she smells more alcohol. “lets get out of here, jasp.”
