Recently started playing Batman: Arkham Asylum and GRAHHHH that shit is so good. Peak. [infodumping incoming]

My favorite scenes so far [I'm at the part after Harley releases Poison Ivy] are the ones with Scarecrow. His fear gas is super interesting and scratches my autism brain. like Woah,,,,,,the walls are crumbling, the hall just got 10x longer, WHAT THE HELL WHERE DID THIS ENTIRE NEW PARKOUR AREA COME FROM??? However my only complaint w/ Scarecrow's scenes is that I'm a dumbass and didn't know that ctrl is how you jump down from a ledge. I was pressing every button BUT control. And the Scarecrow scenes aren't very "fun" per se, they are mostly just cool looking. I loveeeee his design, the needle fingers are so cool.

I also must comment that every villain is awesome, I've always loved Joker [all the iterations I know] and he's just silly. like let my silly little guy out, he ain't done nothing wrong [staged a coup in Arkham because a doctor said no to giving him super venom]

Riddler's voice is annoyingly awesome, like he is so condescending but he's SILLY and so I adore him. Like you go little riddle man, riddle me this. Croc's whole thing is terrifying also [I haven't fought him or seen him outside of like 2 scenes but still. He smells Bats guys he's a professional Bat hunter]

Have to say I like Harley's design much better in the Jester suit of her art rather than her actual game design! I don't mind it but it's just Revealing Skin and imo it's not even that nice of a revealing outfit, could do better. 5/10 Don't care for it

ALSO THE GADGETS AND MECHANICS ARE SO AWESOME. The fighting isn't that complicated to understand!! Which is great for me who hates anything more than 3 buttons [you can survive with 3 buttons in Arkham Asylum pretty well through the beginning, I have found]. when I unlocked the Batclaw my soul ascended from my body. FINALLY I can get into those pesky restricted places, I AM SO HAPPY. I absolutely love exploring and collecting things so I am having a lot of fun :3 Plus I just love Batman. Totally not biased [lie]

Anyways the occasional resurgence of my Batman hyperfixation is awesome. it all started because of an essay about how lego batman is queercoded, how did I get here

Happy Fairholme Friday!!!!

This is a big one because it's Lieutenant Fest ( @lieutenantfest )!!! I don't really have anything to contribute creatively to Jas today, but I have him actually moving (NO WAY!!!) and I also have the real guy! Did you know that he was 24 years old at the beginning of the expedition? He was also quite tall AND quite large in general!! Allegedly, according to an account from I believe Fitzjames himself, Fairholme had to use TWO canoes because he couldn't fit in one! What a unit of a man...

I'm so very excited to see all of the Fairholme content today!!! He's so interesting to me and I simply adore this odd man.
