Isn't it ironic? The first ever uploaded youtube video by co-founder Jawed Karim is about elephants -- the animals with one of the most known superior memories in existence? 20 years ago, titled 'Me At The Zoo', he went on to say from the San Diego Zoo, “All right, so here we are in front of the elephants. The cool thing about these guys is that they have really, really, really long trunks, and that’s cool, and that’s pretty much all there is to say.”
So, ummmm... what were we jammin' to then? Bumpin' that "Hate it or Love it" by The Game, or you're more of a purist boppin' to Common's "The Corner" feat. (🍆💦🤦🏾♂️) Kanye West, or stayed drippy in the club prancing to "Candy Shop" by 50 Cent? Or, maybe you already was onto that down south movement with Young Jeezy's "Trap or Die"?
Happy 20th anniversary to Me at the Zoo!
Happy 20th Anniversary to the first YouTube video ever made.
20 years ago today, a man uploaded a video about really long elephant trunks to a video sharing site that had only been founded two months before.
The world was never the same.
