Somehow, despite being sole guardian to her two nephews and the owner of Teller-Morrow Automotive (which she was seriously considering renaming just Teller Automotive), Chibs calling her ‘little lady’ with that look on his face made her feel all of sixteen years old. She knew she couldn’t afford to ride roughshod over problems anymore; that she had to consider how her actions (and the outcome of those actions) would affect the others in her life. Specifically, Abel and Thomas.
Following the Scotsman's gaze around the bar, she couldn’t help but smile. It was hard without Jax, but Chibs, Tig, the club...they made it easier. They were her family; they only family she had left. Which was why she had no problem giving a little eye roll and a ‘yes, Dad’ as she grabbed her own beer and took a swig.
But in all seriousness... “You know I’d never do anything that would...that could potentially cause the boys to lose anymore people than they already have. Everything I do, I do with them in mind. I just...I refuse to let the universe dictate my story, you know? Whatever happens, from here on out, it happens on my terms. Fuck the powers that be. And fuck destiny.”
