let's see... lowkey jaxeon has lots and lots and lots of lore because he's been my oc since i was like 12 years old LMFAO. i like to put characters that i made when i was super young into my games because i think it's (1) funny and (2) cute because i don't think i ever anticipated that i would make games like this, hahaha. artemis' coworker sparrow is another example, as well as the two new waitstaff characters in the dlc (armelian and jj).
anyways... here are a couple of character fun facts about jax!
he's incredibly family-oriented, almost to a fault. he lives at home with his mom and formerly his twin brother xeon, who everyone calls zee. zee moved out to live this like... pseudo-nomadic van life with his partner laine, who happens to be one of the kids of the rich vampire family who own webbe's coffee & fine teas. they own a bunch of other businesses in the town that cryptid coffeehouse takes place in and in neighboring towns, so zee's lifestyle is mostly paid for by laine's parents, which jaxeon isn't too thrilled about. he was devastated when zee moved out because he doesn' t have very many friends as he's quite introverted and shy, and he really loves his brother and considers him to be one of the most important people in his life. the physical distance really kills him and he sometimes finds himself really resenting laine for "stealing zee away" and "betraying their mother" by encouraging zee to move out and leaving the two of them behind. one might say he has something of a complex about this.
on that note, jaxeon is the younger twin.
jaxeon would mostly make friends in his youth through his brother because zee makes friends very easily and would bring him along to nearly everything... this ended up being a point of contention as they got into their late teens with some of zee's friends because jax was always kind of awkward despite his best efforts and some people found it weird. even so, he became quite close to jay— zee's best friend— and a pair of sisters named vegas and millie. jaxeon still talks to all of these girls and they're probably the only reason why he hasn't gone insane now that his brother is moved out.
i've mentioned before, jaxeon has had a debilitating crush on jay since he was about 15. jay and zee are very, very close, mostly due to similar interests (they played a lot of sports together and like video games), so naturally zee would bring jax along to most hangouts. one thing that jaxeon found special about jay was that she never found him weird or strange and would always make a genuine effort to include him in things. she genuinely cares for him and it always made him feel so special... it was really easy to develop a crush on her after that. he's hid it for almost a decade now and really doesn't intend on telling her, mostly because he's too scared to. she's never shown any romantic inclinations towards him and he feels as if it would be betraying his brother to try to make a move on her, since she was zee's friend first. he's kind of resigned himself after all these years, but he still loves her quite intensely. selfishly, he hopes that she'll never date anyone. so far he's been successful in that lol
i think i would also say that jaxeon has a bit of an obsessive personality when it comes to the people in his life. he doesn't really show it though... i don't want to say that he has minor yandere tendencies lol but i would say that he can become very possessive of & clingy with the people he loves.
he's 1/4 english 1/4 filipino on his dad's side and 1/2 colombian on his mom's side
his mom is a single mother. his dad was out of their lives before they were even born, and jaxeon harbors A LOT of resentment about that, which is why he feels as if he and zee shouldn't ever "abandon" their mom.
he spends a lot of time online talking about movies, which is a big pastime of his. he also really likes to take care of plants, which is why he works at the plant store. he finds them to be good company.
people often mishear his name as "jack" or "jackson" and he never has the courage to correct them. one of his coworkers at the plant store has been calling him "jackson" for almost two years now and he's just too nonconfrontational to say anything about it looooool

unfortunately jay doesn't think about jaxeon in any romantic way at all, nor does she realize that jaxeon even likes her. jax hides his feelings so well that not even zee knows that he likes her. he's always been very reserved, so he acts the same way when he has a secret, you know? jay, zee, and jaxeon pretty much all grew up together as they went to the same elementary school and were close friends ever since, so jay doesn't see either of the twins as anything but friends. she's an only child so she sees zee and jaxeon to be something of her brothers. yikes for jaxeon!
now, if she found out about jaxeon's feelings for her, i don't think anything would change really. she's often more preoccupied with her job (park ranger) and various athletic nature-y hobbies (most of which she has in common with zee), and she's never really showed any interest in anyone romantically the entire time that the twins have known her. i fear that jaxeon's crush is incredibly unrequited. jay would have no problem rejecting him haha :')

hahaha good question!! jaxeon is incredibly skittish and introverted in nearly every sense. i believe that in order for him to develop a good relationship with someone, whether that be a romantic or platonic one, he needs to have someone who is very extroverted to bring him out of his shell and actively encourage conversation, otherwise he's too shy to do anything. much of the courting process with him is just attempting to get him to talk to you lol, but once you're persistent enough and manage to get him to talk to you a couple times, he would definitely open up. he really knows how to keep a crush a secret (ie: his years-long crush on him and his brother's childhood friend jay... more on that later), so he wouldn't say anything if he likes you and might even withdraw even more because of it. you'd have to be the one to ask him out, but i'd assume that you'd be okay with this considering that by this time you'd been trying to woo him for weeks or even months.
in a relationship, jaxeon is equally as shy, but through your encouragement and affection, he becomes more okay with telling you how he feels and what he wants— even if it takes a little bit to coax it out of him. he actually is quite the clingy person by nature, he just suppresses it, so he'll always want to be by your side if he can. asking for physical affection will be hard for him for the first couple of months, but as long as you tell him that it's okay for him to want things, he'll get used to it. you'd be his first relationship ever so he's learning a lot of things along the way, not only just about himself but about you and relationships in general.
now... the issue of jay, the girl he's in love with. would his crush on her be an issue and get in the way of you pursuing him? i don't think so, mostly because he's terrified of telling her that he likes her and has mostly resigned himself to liking her from afar. he figures that she'd never reciprocate his feelings because they've known each other all their lives basically and has never made an attempt to flirt or anything. additionally, jay is much closer to jaxeon's brother zee than she is to jaxeon. he feels like it would kind of be a betrayal to his brother to confess his feelings to jay, even though he knows that's something he'd never be able to do. because of this, i think it would actually be relatively easy to distract him from all of this by getting him in a relationship with him yourself, but i do suspect that he'd still always have a soft spot for jay since he's loved her since they were young. he just knows that he would never be able to do anything about it, which is good for you but kind of sad for him, hahaha.

kurou: 23 + his sister megohime's yakisoba
kolia & kixis: 25 + tomato basil soup for kolia and grilled sausages for kixis
mordag: 22 + fried fish sandwiches with no cheese

taz: 19 + any lychee flavored hard candy

re: the vegetarian comment: most of the time, when you're eating in the game, you're with artemis, who is vegetarian. their family isn't vegetarian, but they cook to artemis' preferences when they visit. kurou's not vegetarian either, but he does most of the cooking at the artehouse... and mordag is lactose intolerant, so he often makes a lot of vegetarian/vegan meals to cater to that. and also i'm vegetarian lol so subconsciously i made many of the food options vegetarian hahaha
