I was actually running a little late, Reid had text' me asking if I was gonna still be out, and I told him I had to run, and I passed him as I headed out of the water as he headed in... And kinda like that scene in Goonies where they spot One Eyed Willie's ship at the end, I spotted this carrier headed into port with that same excitement. It was moving fast enough, that I was only gonna have it lined up for a moment, but in that moment I saw @reid_not_read paddle right into line with it. Living in Florida, we just don't get the backgrounds, and even waves you might see around the rest of the world, but in this instance, it was as good as I could ask for. It wasn't just rare to see a carrier off shore here, but this was the (British) Royal Navy's HMS Queen Elizabeth visiting the US.
