Opinions on the new starters?

well my first thought was ‘ah fuck i just DREW all of the fire and grass starters together’. should have waited until these guys were released ahaha x’D

i’m quite partial to fire bunny, i’m just afraid it’ll get BUFFED in it’s final evolution like so many other fire starters before it. at the moment i find sobble and grookey i bit too similar to each other in terms of overall size and body shape? they feel like they were created on the same base but with different paints and add-ons. but it’ll be interesting to see how they diverge in their evolved forms! overall though, the three new starters are all really cohesive in their designs! they really look like they belong as part of a set with each other.

on a side note, i’m SUPER HYPED about the new region!! holy crap, it looks SOOOO GOOD *_____*

How do you feel about people reposting your arts here on tumblr? I saw some people who just post your art and say the name instead od reblogging it

not good! i’ve never given anyone permission to repost my art here or anywhere else. unfortunately, it also happens quite frequently and i rather use my energy dealing with other things /shrugs

will you ever upload your speedpaints to youtube again. i absolutly love them and im sad it's been so long. are there any other places we can follow your process

i will definitely try to! 

honestly, this year is kinda like a… year of expansion for me. expanding my understanding of art theory, expanding my skill set, pushing out of my comfort zone, learning how to render thing i’ve never rendered before etc… i’ve started doing more studies and being more ambitious and taking a lot more time with the pieces i’m producing. sometimes i’ll open up a file, do a few strokes and then stare at the piece for half an hour before doing more. unfortunately, the process isn’t particularly conducive to being recorded and can kinda stress me out haha ^^;;

but i do really want to be posting speedpaints again! my hope is that once i’ve reached a level i’m happy with, and can temporarily slip back to working in my comfort zone for a while, that’ll probably be when i start recording my process again! in the meantime, i will continue posting things like my ‘process shots’ for each piece to tumblr~

Can we use your art as icons/headers (with credit) or would you rather us not?

i’m generally happy for people to use my art as headers/icons as long as they’re not commissioned pieces (typically featuring characters belong to other people). but if the art is a personal piece, and as long as credit is given, you are free to use it!
