rewatching cutie pie and I cannot express how sad I am for Kuea, like nearly everyone around him is keeping so many secrets from him that directly affect him, Lian hides the whole property thing from him, lying about knowing Kueas secrets, and is constantly strongarming him into things, his mother point bank lies to him when he asks her about their financial situation, Jay is going behind his back and colluding with Lian. It's all so much, and like yeah, Kuea has his secret too but they don't really affect anyone but him like he sings, likes motorcycles, and is an automotive engineer major, none of those have significant effects for anyone else the most that could be argued is that Kuea's pretending to have a different personality around his fiance but after the fight in the first episode he mostly acts like himself around Lian just more polite.

I just think it's so sad that the only person who reliably talks to and doesn't hide things from Kuea is Kon Diao, like the closest Diao comes to hiding something is hesitating to tell Kuea he saw Lian at Gemini, but he still does (or tries to), even Kuea's other friends intended to not tell Kuea even if Ton did accidentally.

It sucks to have the people you trust intentionally hide things from you and it sucks to know they're doing it and will lie to you point blank.

Also, people not telling Kuea shit is clearly not just a recent thing because, in the flashback to his grandpa's funeral, Kuea says that no one told him his grandpa was even sick! So Kuea literally had no clue he was going to die when he did and everyone else did! Like, Kuea didn't even get a heads up and a chance to like call his grandpa and tell him he loved him before he died, that sucks so bad!
