Pair of great featherweight fights to kick off Bellator 257!
Jay Jay Wilson looked good against Pedro Carvalho. Managed to get him down almost instantly in the first though eventually Carvalho found a way on top. Then comes out and hits Carvalho with a spinning back elbow that rocks him. Carvalho tries to shoot a TD to stop the onslaught but gets wizzared and mounted for the GnP finish. Big win for Jay Jay.
Mads Burnell vs Saul Rogers was great. Tons of great grappling exchanges with both guys having moments of success. Unfortunately for Rogers, Burnell always had an answer for anything he did (even the TDs). Eventually Burnell broke him down, getting to the back for the RNC. Such a disappointment the ufc cut the guy. He’s good. Real good. Calls out Daniel Weichel when weichel recovers from covid.
