I'm just going to post this here because I want to talk about it and don't currently have anyone in my life to talk to about it, who knew about it when it happened. Almost a year ago Jay Ott, a fashion designer from Brooklyn, went missing. There were signs everywhere, it was hard to ignore. He was living with his bf at the time and no one knew where he went. Then his body turned up months later in the river and security footage of him going over the Williamsburg bridge. Ott had been struggling with alcoholism. Well I just watched the Olsen sister's acceptance speech for the best accessory design at the 2014 CFDA and they dedicated the award to Jay. It got me thinking about that time, and about Jay's story, and how invested I was. RIP buddy
RIP Jay Ott we loved your work and hope to acommplish as much as you did
