Another Jay misidentified as a Mapgie!

Unfortunately damaged but a nice skull nonetheless.

Fantastic birds, recently popped in a group that someone had asked if anyone had lost a Parrot! Probably the most unique and odd looking Corvid in the UK.

Thier main diet from September onwards is acorns! Some places suggest that Jays are responsible for the 'planting' of many Oaks after forgetting where they put them and since the Jay hoards so many carrying 4 in a special pouch at every visit the Oaks rate of survival is massively increased.

This guy I got in a bunch of Magpi.es that was ordered, two of which were Ja.ys (I got replacements). This guys beak sheaths have been painted black by the seller.
