Hi Gina! Regarding the “future son in law post” from Jay, does anyone know if the picture was an original photo? I feel like I remember hearing about the post but that they blamed it on hacking at the time — but that wouldn’t make a lot of sense if it was an unseen photo. Just curious!
Hi love. The photo wasn't an unseen. It was from early 2012 IIRC. The post was made in November 2014. The thing is, you have to think about it in context of what was going on at the time.
2014, as a whole, was crazy. This is just what happened in ONE week in August. Harry had been extremely loud that year, and there were a ton of rumors surrounding a possible coming out. I don't know if I can make it clear to someone who wasn't here how very, very real this possibility seemed at the time and how far beyond it was from anything you think you're putting together in 2022.
The month of November was one thing after another, including "not that important" and "don't knock it til you try it". This is a terrific timeline of events of that time including Louis wearing the rainbow apple logo, the Four Hangout (where they seemingly refused to deny Larry), headlines everywhere about H possibly having come out, the horrible homophobic bullshit tweet that was tweeted from Louis' account, and Louis getting the dagger tattoo. It's also important to consider it in context of Harry's IG posts at the time.
As far as the "hack" is concerned, why on earth would a hacker break into her IG and make this single post? And if, like antis like to claim, it was a larrie, why would they stop at that and why would they leave the password the same so Jay could delete the post a few minutes. later? The whole "hack" thing is ridiculous. I have no doubt she posted it.
