“Hey! I saw in the tag that you're going to Lancaster Uni? I've just...”
Honestly, it's weird at first, but it's not bad. Freshers week is so good at helping you find your feet - you and your flat mates are in the same position, the reps are always super nice, and I think the fact that you live in a college is brilliant. I'm part of Pendle college and they're my uni family, especially the people I met and lived around first year. I miss living on campus a lot, it really was wonderful
Lecture-wise, I guess it's odd to be in charge of your own education 100% but you're still timetabled, so it's just a case of balancing a little more time :) Also it helps that Lancaster have the part 1 and part 2 system, so they really understand how university is a big step up and they're so responsive to any help you ask for!
yeah i rly like the idea of the colleges it seems super nice like one big family haha. this has helped me so much though thank u so much!! i wasn’t aware of the part 1 part 2 system but it puts me at ease that they’re aware of how big of a step up it is - i’m starting to look more forward to uni now rather than terrified haha thank u so much!!
