Prince Harry has followed his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II into the photobomb craze, giving the thumbs up in an image of acclaimed New Zealand rugby sevens coach Gordon Tietjens at the Commonwealth Games. Just days after the queen was snapped beaming in the background as Australian hockey players Jayde Taylor and Brooke Peris took a selfie, the 29-year-old prince popped up as Tietjens was being photographed at the swimming pool. Tietjens, New Zealand deputy chef de mission Trevor Shailer and sports psychologist Gary Hermansson were photographed as they sat a few rows in front of the prince, his brother Prince William and Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge. Queen photobombs Hockeyroo Jayde Taylor’s Commonwealth Games selfie

   Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has 'photo-bombed' a selfie taken by two Australian field hockey players at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.

Jayde Taylor, one of the players introduced to the Queen at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre on Thursday, took the photo to mark the moment, and when she saw the result, shared it on Twitter.

Queen Elizabeth II is not known for her grasp of social media, but she tapped into a trend when she inadvertently photobombed an Australian athlete's selfie at the Commonwealth Games on Thursday. Hockey player Jayde Taylor was posing for a photograph with a teammate when the 88-year-old British monarch moved into view in the background and appeared to be smiling over her shoulder.
