A shady looking Scrafty walked down the sidewalk of a quiet street. He held up his loose, slightly saggy pants as he looked around the area. Not many people around as far as he could see, just a Slowbro with a bag around him waiting for a ride. Suddenly, a grand idea came to the Scrafty’s mind. He grinned and snickered darkly, casually making his way over to the other Pokemon. The Scrafty tapped him on the arm, to which the Slowbro very slowly turned his head around, and gave a smile.
“Well... hel...lo... there! Did you... Need... Some...thing... Sir?” He spoke in a slow, slightly deep voice. The Scrafty simply stuck his tongue out with a seemingly innocent smile. “Oh, nothin’, just wanted to take ya’ stuff is all.” The Scrafty had a stupid grin on his face as he snatched the bag away from the Slowbro, knowing he would be too slow to do anything about it, and began running off. Unsurprisingly, the Slowbro was very slow to react to this. “Come... Back... With... My... Stuff!” He shouted, and the Scrafty stopped in his tracks for a moment, seemingly complying, only to turn around and stick his tongue out at him tauntingly, before running off again, the Slowpoke being helpless to do anything.
The Scrafty didn’t look back as he ran down the sidewalk, chuckling to himself. “What a suckah! I oughta start goin’ after those slow guys more often!” His laughter grew louder, but his celebration was cut short as he ended up bumping into a Lucario, dropping the bag he stole.
“Finn! You lil’ shit!” The Lucario hissed, hopping and holding onto his bruised leg. A green Scizor picked up the dazed Scrafty and held him up by his hood with his pincers. The smaller Pokemon squirmed, trying to get free.
“Damn, that must’ve been some headbutt. And here I thought your head was full of air.” The Scizor snickered, handing Finn over to the Lucario, who promptly dragged him by his hood to a nearby alleyway and pinned him against the wall by his arms. “Ya’ brotha ain’t here with ya’ I see?” The Lucario’s face formed into a wicked grin, showing off his bare canines. “Good shit.”
Finn frantically shook his head. “W-wait! Yous don’t wanna really beat me up do ya’ Jayden?! A-after all I knows you two gotta have ANYTHING bettah tah do, right? I’m fragile, ehehehe, what’s tha point?”
Jayden growled in response. “The point is you’ve had this comin’ for a long fuckin’ time. Some of my shit went missing, you think I’d forget, ya’ lil’ shit?” The Lucario growled once more. “That, and you’re a cakewalk to pick on... What’s in the bag, Joseph?” He asked his partner.
“Hm. Seems the little runt here got himself some loot.” The Scizor flipped the bag upside down, only some money and a few personal items fell out from it. “It ain’t much though.”
Jayden huffed. “Whatevah, it’s mines now. On tah business...” Still holding Finn by the hood, his free arm reeled back dangerously. Finn shut his eyes and flinched, expecting to get pummeled by the stronger Pokemon... Suddenly, Finn felt his grip release him, and he fell to the ground on his rear.
Slowly opening his eyes, he saw a large Pangoro had grabbed the Lucario by his wrist. The Scrafty’s eyes lit up and he smiled widely, this Pangoro was no mere stranger to him. “Barett! Ya made it!”
“B-Barett?” A look of fear replaced the smug look on the Lucario, as he hesitantly turned his head to face the larger Pokemon. Before he could even get a look, he was harshly tossed into a wall by his arm, the back of his head smashing against it and he dropped to the ground, unconscious.
The Pangoro turned his attention towards the Scizor, who greeted him with a nervous wave. “H-hi there... Barett...” He gulped. Barett grabbed the Scizor’s chin, bringing their faces together. “Up to any trouble with ya’ buddy here?” He asked, glancing over to the unconscious Lucario, and his brother Finn, who was grinning wide at how the situation had turned now. The Scizor frantically shook his head no, his panicked eyes on the Pangoro’s rather large fist. Barett cracked a smile, letting go of him and patting the top of his head... Before he swung a punch across his face, knocking him into the ground. “Good. Now you two fucks get outta here and clean yaselves up. And if I catch you sweatin’ my baby brotha again, I’ll make sure you regret more than me knockin’ ya’ fuckin’ jaw loose. Got it?” He growled. “And that’s Mister Barett to you.”
The Scizor quickly nodded, getting up and rubbing his aching cheek, before going to pick his friend up off the ground and carry him off. Finn stepped up to see them walk away and made a rude gesture towards them with his middle finger. “Yeah! Ya’ bettah run! Best not ever mess with us again!” Barett simply gave a low growl, making his way to Finn, kneeling and bringing his brother over to him by his arm and inspecting him. “Are you hurt?” He asked, brushing off some dirt on him. Finn put his thumb on his chest and grinned confidently. “Psssh, those punks could nevah hurt me! I learned from the absolute best!”
Barett rolled his eyes, standing back up again. “Whatevah. You best praise Arceus that I came lookin’ for yo’ ass when I did. Startin’ to get sick of playing super hero for you. Do you even know what day it is?” He asked, crossing his arms. Finn shrugged in response.
“Vinny is out today. We’re meeting him at his pop’s place and takin’ him back to our hangout to meet everyone. Now come on. And try to stay close to me.” Barett began making his way down the sidewalk. Finn’s face lit up with excitement, and he started following his big brother.
“Fo’ real?! Sweet! Hold up!”
