Jay X Reader Fandom: Pack of the Pack???
Going to university in a completely different country was hard. You’d said goodbye to your brother, Josh, and headed for Australia to get a degree. And it was definitely not all it had cracked up to be. It was definitely a lot different climate and a lot different setting. And the people were very different. “Smaller Bradley, how are you?” Lachlan’s version of a nickname was less than stellar, but he refused to pick anything else. “Not much, person who needs to pick a better nickname for me.” “That’s some nickname.” Usually you met Lachlan alone, so you were on high alert now that there was someone else. “Oh, yeah, Y/N, this is Jay. Jay, Y/N.” Being the way you were, you didn’t take too kindly to strangers, and this guy was no exception. “Well she seems really friendly, Lachy.” “She’s not really a people person. Just give her a little time.” And time he got. Lachlan dragged both of you around town for the rest of the day. The hostility between the two of you was still prevalent, even by the time you were all sitting on a dock watching the sunset. “I’m leaving you two here and I’ll be back when the sun’s fully down. Be friends by then.” There was no point in trying to explain to Lachlan that that was not how things worked. So you and Jay sat in relative silence for a while. “Is there a particular reason you don’t like me?” “I don’t dislike, people just aren’t my strong point.” “You get along with Lachlan.” “I’ve know Lachlan for a while now. And he’s the only person I knew when I came here.” “So does that mean he’s going to be your only Aussie friend ever?” “No, I just need time to adjust and accept and trust.” “Will you trust me?” “If you prove trustworthy.” “I’ll hold you to the julep.” “I’ll remember that.”
