Requested: Yes! // 1) Could I get some one shot about Jay Gatsby and Daisy's younger sister? I'd like to see how their relationship (either platonic or romantic would go) @dreamerinthesun

The sound of summer jazz swirled through your ears, as you walked under the scorching New York sun. The beads from your dress kissing your legs with each step, while your heels clicked upon each contact with the pavement.
As you were walking to the lunch, you observed more people out and about now, than there had been all summer long. With your mind preoccupied you hadn’t been paying attention to where you were walking. It wasn’t until you walked straight into a wall of muscle, that your mind returned back to earth, followed by the clinking of various items tumbling from your purse. Frowning, you kneeled down beginning to gather the contents.
“Oh, I’m so sorry!” The familiar voice cried. Helping you pick up your scattered belongings.
“Its-“ Lifting your gaze, you were greeted with the familiar features of your cousin. “Nick?”
“Y-Yeah?” He answered lifting his gaze from the ground while his eyebrows scrunhed together in confusion. “Y/N?”
A toothy grin made it’s way upon your lips, throwing your arms around his shoulders, you yanked him in for a bonecrushing hug. “I’ve missed you so much!”
The sound of Nick’s chuckles sang through your ears. Wrapping an arm around your waist, he reciprocated your hug. Pulling away from him you, gathered your belongings and shoved them into your purse.
“Come, you have to see Daisy!” You exclaimed giving Nick a beaming smile. Grapsing his wrist, you tugged him the rest of the way to lunch. In the short time it took to arrive, you had forgotten about the vexing heat.
Standing before the host, he led both of you to the secluded area that Daisy had chosen. In seconds, you were before your sister, practically beaming, until you spotted a familiar brown head. Your excitment had come to a screeching halt as your smile faltered.
“Y/N, dear, there you are!” Daisy spoke with false uncertainty. Placing her cup down on the table, putting her previous conversation on hold. “We were beginning to wonder where you were.”
Letting out a hum, you weren’t convinced in the slightest. “Right, look who I found!” You turned back to Nick who had been staring at you the whole time. “It’s Nick!”
“Oh, yes!” Daisy smiled, moving to greet Nick in the typical fashion, rather than someone who was family.
Rolling your eyes, you crossed your arms along your chest the beads scratching your skin the process. Jordan glaring daggers at you.
“Come on, lets go.” You turned to Nick.
“Wait, you’re not staying for lunch?” Jordan’s voice filled with joy.
“That’s perposporous.” Daisy, shrieked gazing at Jordan. “Right, Y/N?”
Smirking, you shook your head. “I, uh, I already told Nick I would hangout with him.” You spoke pointing your thumb towards him. “I completely forgot,” You exageradded your emotions. “Until I ran into him outside….Right, Nick?”
“Hm?” Giving him a gently nudge with your elbow, Nick seemed to catch on. “Oh, uh, yes. We…We already had plans.”
Grinning at him, you nodded your head. Without wating for either woman to give you a response, you turned on your heel and exited the posh restaurant.
Walking down the street, you were beside Nick. “So, what is it you want to do?”
Nick turned to you with furrowed brows. “You were serious?”
“Why wouldn’t I?” You giggled, giving him a warm smile. “I’d rather spend time with you than my sister, you remember how close we were before we moved?”
Grinning, Nick returned your smile. “Yes, I do.”
———
“This is where I live.” Nick spoke, showing you the small cottage he had moved into.
Gazing at it, you felt the coziness of it. “It’s…”
“I know.” He chuckled. “You don’t have to say anything.”
“Hm.” You nodded deciding against any remark.
As you gazed around the property, you saw his neighbor’s house. It was practically a castle, towering over the much smaller house. The castle nearly made Nick’s house look as if it were a shoe box. While you were staring at the house and its many windows, one of the curtains moved as someone had moved to shut it.
“Hey, Nick?” You called, not taking your eyes off the window.
“Yeah?”
“Do you know who your neighbor is?” You questioned feeling as if you knew who the stranger was but couldn’t quite put your finger on it.
“I….I think it’s someone named Gatsby.”
Gasping, your blood turned to ice, as fluttering erupted in your stomach at the mention of the name. Memories flooded your mind. Shaking your head, you furrowed your eyebrows together.
It couldn’t quite possibly be the same Gatsby from all those years ago…..Could it?
