Silco carefully rested his arched foot on the stool in front of the couch. He set out on unbuckling its leather cinch, then took the shoe off. After about a minute’s time, the sock came next. When the naked sole sought again that soft surface, it tucked itself smaller and pressed down.

The ‘stool’ squirmed.

“Hmm.” Silco’s wordless curiosity fell on no one to answer. Because there was ‘no one’ in the room. No Jayce. Only the stool.

And a stool’s job was to lie there and stand firm.

Or: Jayce practices human furniture and gets a footjob.

Someone, talking. Silco? Here early? Jayce internally smiles, and his face crawls to show it. Gods, but he’s so tired. Unconsciousness has him gripped in its talons. It threatens to pull Jayce under. No not yet...

Or: Jayce comes to find rest and solitude in The Last Drop. He doesn't realize that the hands touching him aren't familiar — but fortunately, Silco is there to righten any wrongs.

A few concerned glances meet around the roundtable before Mel advises the council to continue as scheduled. Once Silco finishes his update, the tension in the room releases. Jayce speaks last, as the last to join.

And then the meeting promptly ends.

No one brings up Jayce’s obvious indisposition. Obvious, to Silco anyway. His proud stance droops. He’s rubbing his temples every couple of minutes, like with a headache. Air rattles in his throat, though he doesn’t allow himself to cough.

Jayce Talis is sick. 

Or: Silco is witness to the ridiculous circles Jayce Talis has to do to get medicine, and helps him get better.

Short and to the point, and giving absolutely no details, just like Sevika would if she spoke the news to him face to face.
