I used to be someone who would get impatient when updates to fics took too long but I'm now a creative writing major and have completely changed my tune. Writing is hard and can take ages. I know how long it can sometimes take me to write a 3000 words short story and edit it. People need to give fic writers a break tbh
Yeah, as I said, people who aren’t writers literally can’t understand. As soon as you start trying to write-to-deadline yourself, hoo boy. Do you ever develop respect for journalists who have to file daily, put it that way!
