What is your favourite hockey movie?

Oh there are a few. Miracle easily has to be up there. I did enjoy Mystery Alaska, but Miracle yeah. Skating down a mountain would be fun but I would definitely fall over.

Favourite NHL team and player?

Philadelphia Flyers. Simon Gagné is one of my favourite players. I actually got to meet him when I was in Quebec.

How did you find meeting him?

It was actually random. I didn’t realise he was at the rink signing autographs. I saw him and was like “oh my god”, and the kids were like “what?” I asked “do you know who this is?” and they were like “no”.

I fangirled hard. I got his autograph and a photo and he asked me where I was from because of my accent, which was pretty cool.

What inspired you to play hockey?

I played inline hockey for a number of years before I knew ice hockey existed. The only reason I found out about it was because Erina had a rink.

Me and my brother, Ben, played on the same team for a while at inline, but council kept shutting the rinks down. I skated for a full 14 months in blue skates before I bought my own.

What would you tell someone about hockey, who knew nothing about it, to get them interested?

I would definitely bring them to a game and that’s pretty much enough to get them hooked, or get them on the ice skating.

If you had the chance to spend a day with someone living or dead who would it be?

Maybe Dwayne Johnson. The Rock. He seems interesting, very successful. He trains hard and look at where its gotten him.
