Sassy Viktor my love:

Jayce was lost staring into amber oceans, he didn't even have the mind to feel flustered. Holding Viktor close felt natural, comfortable, normal in the best way.

And having Vik smile up at him like that … Jayce just wanted to stay in this moment forever.

“Am I interrupting somethin’?”

The moment was so over.

Jayce’s head jolted around towards the intruder, automatically stepping away from Viktor.

“Huh?” His ears were burning, his stomach stinging with embarrassment.

Ekko was leaning against the door frame, a knowing smirk on his lips. “I could just leave and let you finish up here.”

Jayce was too stunned to speak.

“Hello Ekko”, Viktor greeted, nonchalantly. “I see you have come here early to help your girlfriend prepare the place. Powder certainly is a lucky girl.”

Ekko’s smirk slipped away, his brows knitting into a frown. “She’s not my girlfriend”, he muttered, stepping aside to let them in.

“Oh”, Viktor said in mock surprise. “You just always seem so content in each other’s presence. I just assumed.”

Jayce stifled a laugh when he watched Ekko glare at his friend. To hide his grin he bent down, picking up Viktor’s cane that had cluttered to the ground.

“Yeah, yeah, point taken”, Ekko said with a roll of his eyes. “Now get in, we're busy.”
