Ik we don’t all love jock Jayce, BUT hear me out. Jayce who gets a full ride football scholarship so that he can go to university and do engineering. He’s the talk of the team when his disabled twink lab partner starts showing up to all the games and then picks up sports med to spend more time with Jayce during football season. The other players don’t take Viktor seriously at first cause they want the cute girls to be the ones to help them with their injuries but then it starts to become an open secret that Viktor did the best joint wraps of any of them so anyone with a past or present injury was lined up before games for Viktor to do their knee and ankle and wrist wrap for them. Viktor never said much about it but Jayce would beam and wait til the line cleared out to walk out to the field with viktor cause his cane wasn’t always great on the Astroturf. Jayce makes him a larger foot with cleats that can screw onto the bottom of his cane when he has to be on the field while he is home for thanksgiving. He gives it to Viktor and asks him out for a date as though they don’t spend all of their time together already.
Viktor is on the sidelines when Jayce compound fractures his leg during a game their junior year and helps calm him down as they drive him off the field. After the initial cast is off, viktor puts himself in charge of Jayce’s physical therapy and they spend the rest of the season on the sidelines together with Viktor cuddles up next to Jayce on the bench to stay warm in the later part of the season. Jayce is healed up enough to play again his senior year, but has to wear a big athletic brace because the injury stretched his tendons out and made his knee unstable. Viktor wears a Talis jersey to all of the games even though the rest of the med team wears team t shirts. Jayce is number 42 cause it’s the answer to life the universe and everything and he may be a football player but he’s also a massive nerd and geek.
