Jayvik Alpha/Omega Rough Idea

Omega Viktor with a brand new claim bite from Jayce still working crazy hours in the lab. When omegas receive a claim bite, their body goes through a lot of changes like a rapid second puberty in the following days to adjust hormonally to having a mate and developing new senses to pick up on their mate’s primal feelings, and other new physical attributes. Viktor knows the healing period after receiving a claiming bite is extremely taxing for omegas and that he should rest. He does not care. Jayce doesn’t know much about omega anatomy, so besides the heightened awareness of his partner, he thinks business as usual, besides sensing Viktor feeling very uncomfortable. Vik tries to brush it off as his usual pain when Jayce tries to fuss. Of course after 3 days of trying to work normally through the intense strain his body is going through, Viktor, of course, starts to fall ill and collapses from extreme exhaustion. Jayce, in the middle of an important investors meeting, gets the sharp alarming sense that something is very wrong with his mate, and he rushes out immediately with barely a word to Mel and the other investors. He bursts into the lab to find Viktor unconscious on the floor with a very high fever and the glands on his neck where the bite is swollen and inflamed. Jayce brings unconscious Viktor to a doctor immediately and is scolded for allowing his omega to overwork himself to such an extent immediately after claiming him. He’s handed a few pamphlets and scribbled down book recommendations on ‘how to care for your omega’ and takes Viktor home for strict bed rest for at least 10 days. Jayce is a little bit in shock while he cares for Viktor, not realizing he knew so little about the differences in the other sexes. He’s embarrassed and shameful he allowed Viktor, his precious partner, and an omega, HIS omega, to suffer so much right under his nose. He should have known better. When Viktor is less delusional with fever he becomes frustrated that Jayce won’t let him work from bed. He can sense Jayce’s strong radiating distress, but he misreads it that he’s inconveniencing him as an omega and doesn’t want to be perceived as useless. Jayce can’t understand how Viktor can still be so stubborn about working. Jayce’s inner alpha is so frustrated that he doesn’t know how to lessen his omega’s intense pain rolling off of his body. He finally gets so worked up that he snaps at Viktor that he just wants to take care of him, and Viktor, offended, snaps back that just because he’s an omega doesn’t mean he needs taking care of. After a heated argument, they are finally able to communicate that Viktor does not want to burden Jayce with omega problems, let alone his disabilities, as they are inconvenient and bothersome, and Jayce expressing that it doesn’t matter that Viktor is an omega OR disabled, Jayce wants to take care of his partner and is worried about his health and pain and genuinely wants to do what he can to help him feel better. They amend to work on it together. Jayce climbs in bed to cuddle Viktor and soothe his stressed out and exhausted omega and help him sleep. Viktor, despite still protesting he was fine to work through his now lower fever, knocks out in minutes, and Jayce starts brainstorming a design for Viktor’s first leg brace and new crutch, his alpha soothed that his omega is finally comfortable.
